Khun Pratuan and Khun Nara were truly charmed to meet Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen,
of "Changing Rooms" fame, who proved to be a truly courteous and
friendly individual easy to get on with. They found out that he was a
serious family man and that he had spent many years training and working in his
profession and had written several books. Khun Pratuan had cooked a
beautiful, traditional Thai meal for Triff and Stuart and their friends with
Laurence among them. He thoroughly enjoyed the meal which was pleasing (as
you can see) for Khun Pratuan and Khun Nara. They had created delicious
Gang Massaman (beef cooked in rich curry sauce with peanuts, potatoes &
coconut milk), Pla Rad Prik (crispy fried fish with a rich chilli sauce), Gung
Thot Krop (deep fried king prawns with chilli dip), Phat Priaw Wan (chicken
& pork with fried vegetables & sweet & sour sauce), Gai Satay
(grilled spicy chicken with peanut sauce and cucumber dip), Kanompang Na Moo
(fried spicy pork on slices of fried bread with dips), Tom Yum Gai (hot spicy
soup with chicken pieces & lovely scented lemon grass, coriander & lemon
juice with coconut milk), Thot Man Khao Phot (fried corn cakes with garlic &
pepper), and with that great favourite Thai Red Chicken Curry with bamboo.
